Resume / Profile

Dean Yu

Product Manager

I turn repeated operational problems into product requirements, work processes, and automation flows.

Summary

Current role and focus

I observe complaints, missed work, delays, and churn risks that appear around customer touchpoints and internal operations, then translate them into product features, work processes, and automation standards. I see product work less as “making more features” and more as reducing repeated operational problems.

  • I design stable flows for hospitality operators to manage OTA/PMS integrations, inventory, rates, and reservations.
  • I structure work scattered across chats, spreadsheets, and manual back-office tasks into forms, alerts, and stateful workflows.
  • AI and automation work is kept separate from employment history and documented in AI Work.

Core strengths

Core strengths

  • Defining operational problemsI separate complaints, missed work, delays, and churn risks by cause, ownership, and handling flow.
  • Scoping MVPsI distinguish what must be validated now from what can wait, and reduce overgrown product scope.
  • Turning process into productI connect chat, spreadsheets, and manual back-office work into forms, alerts, assignments, and contract flows.
  • Designing automationI use automation to reduce repeated review, record recovery, and missed tasks rather than to create flashy demos.
